Do you love what you see but you don't know how to get started?
I have always been a teacher, even as a child I would go into other classrooms to teach other students about living history and the Civil War. After graduating from the University of Illinois, this innate desire to help people to learn a new skill manifested in becoming a technical trainer for several, large well-known corporations. After I decided to have children I knew that, while I love to teach people how to use the tools they need, I didn't plan to return to the corporate world, so I began to teach knitting and crochet, as well as designing patterns for Coats & Clark and spinning and dyeing my own yarn.
I have taught all ages and all levels of experience how to handle yarn and fiber to work whatever craft they are interested in cultivating. I have taught in Montessori classrooms with children as young as 4 1/2 years old as well as giving lessons at local craft stores to people of all ages. I have given countless spinning demonstrations at Historic Brattonsville and The Museum of the Waxhaws.
If you want to learn, I want to teach you! Book a class so we can get started!
